From Vision to Implementation
2025 marked a turning point for Runway Green.
This year, Runway Green moved from vision to implementation with the opening of Launch High School as our official Lab School—providing a real-world environment to design, test, and refine new models of real-world learning, green workforce pathways, and cross-sector partnerships alongside students from the very start.
With significant public investment secured and a growing coalition of public and nonprofit partners, Runway Green is building the evidence, systems, and practices needed for scale and citywide impact. As we look ahead to 2026, philanthropic support plays a catalytic role in advancing pilot programs, developing the campus, and turning this momentum into lasting change for public education and workforce development in New York City.
